The Oratory Boathouse can be found on the North bank of the Thames
just outside the Hardwicke Estate.
From Goring or Woodcote drive to Cray's Pond. Turn towards
Whitchurch and follow the B471 for about 2 miles. After the steep
section of hill turn left into Hardwick Road, follow that road for
1 mile. When the road reaches the gate to the Hardwick Estate turn
to the right down the dirt track just outside the gates and follow
it down to the river.
From Streatley or Pangbourne follow the signs from Pangbourne to the
toll bridge on the road to Whitchurch Hill. Cross the bridge, and
half a mile up the B471 turn right into Hardwick Road, follow that
road for 1 mile. When the road reaches the gate to the Hardwick
Estate turn to the right down the dirt track just outside the gates
and follow it down to the river. |
