Category Definition

To ensure fairness in racing we seek to offer a number of evenly matched classes, with the classification of crews based on the crew’s experience at rowing, and in the regatta. We assess and record each crews performance during the training sessions and do our very best to fairly classify each crew.

Events may be held in the following categories, depending upon the number of entries submitted.

Beginner, Intermediate, & Experienced

The organisers decision on each crew's classification is final and without appeal.

Regatta Training

We provide sufficient training slots for each crew to practice at 5 regatta training sessions. To get the most out of the event you are advised to use your full training allocation.

Category Distance Rowed  No. Practice

Beginner 300m 3 5
Intermediate 300m 2 5
